We are a custom feedlot, backgrounding and finishing up to 12,500 head of cattle. 

Our work at Hamiota Feedlot is an all-encompassing job. It’s around-the-clock care, a meticulous eye on details and efficiencies, and a drive to do our best for producers who trust us time and again.

Yet life at our feedlot and farm is so much more than that. It’s an opportunity to serve as both stewards of the land and cattle while simultaneously caring for our community. Enhancing the interdependent relationship between cattle and their environment—and enriching both for us all— gives our team a reason to get up every morning. We’re filled with purpose and excited to create meaningful impact, doing our part to contribute to beef sustainability in Canada.

We care for our counterparts in the beef value chain, and so have devoted considerable time and resources to advocacy for the cattle industry. Over the years, we’ve worked with federal and provincial agencies and developed government relations to create and support initiatives that encourage long-term sustainability and compassionate animal care, while navigating the evolving needs of the industry, customer, and consumer.

The days are long, the work is hard…and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Our team includes Herd Health Technicians, Feed Attendants, Cattle Processors, Administrative and Management Staff, General Laborers skilled in many areas, Class 1 Drivers and more.
