Micol Construction is seeking a Structural Engineer to lead practical, innovative building solutions and collaborate closely with project and construction teams. This is an opportunity to take ownership of diverse projects and make a visible impact from concept through completion.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Design and analyze structural systems for a variety of building projects.
  • Prepare and review drawings, calculations, specifications, reports, and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards, safety requirements, and building codes.
  • Review shop drawings, RFIs, change orders, fabrication details, and field modifications.
  • Conduct site visits and field reviews, providing technical support throughout construction.
  • Collaborate with project and construction teams to resolve design challenges and maintain project timelines and budgets.
  • Support permitting, inspections, project documentation, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a structural engineering focus, or a related engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Preference will be given to candidates registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with Engineers & Geoscientists of Manitoba
  • Engineers-in-Training (EITs) with demonstrated ability to manage projects may also be considered.
  • Experience designing structural systems for commercial, industrial, agricultural, and/or steel building projects.
  • Strong understanding of structural analysis, design principles, and applicable building codes and standards.
  • Proficiency with structural design and engineering software (AutoCAD & Revit)
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence
