The successful candidate will serve as both a business leader and trusted advisor, balancing operational excellence, financial performance, employee development, and customer success.

THE OPPORTUNITY
As Location Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, profitability, and performance of the Virden operation. You will champion customer success, employee engagement, operational excellence, and financial stewardship while ensuring the location remains a trusted partner to farmers throughout the region.

Success in this role will be measured by your ability to:

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.

Founder and President Ray Redfern started Redfern Farm Services in 1972 in Rivers, Manitoba, and now operates 11 locations in southwestern Manitoba, employing a plethora of regular staff along with seasonal personnel all year long.

Redferns provides the widest industry selection of seed, fertilizers and crop protection products to customers from our locations, as well as a diverse selection of other goods and services. Custom application services, into field product  deliveries, fertilizer application equipment rentals, along with  comprehensive soil testing programs, agronomy support and product recommendations are all provided by our professionals.

Our sales and agronomy staff offer unbiased, knowledgeable agronomic advice to assist our grower partners in producing the most profitable high yielding crops possible.  We work right alongside our producers– not just selling them products.  By focusing on the individual needs of our many customers’ and their operations, our team shows their commitment to our farmer partners to provide them solutions with informed, ethical recommendations.

Redferns and their staff are deeply involved in the communities they serve and in which they reside.  Redferns provides ongoing support to numerous large community projects, as well as the many service clubs and community functions that arise.
