Brandon University is seeking a SAS Test Centre Assistant/Invigilator for a part-time term position.

Job Description

Classification: Student Assistant IV
Employee Group: PSAC
Job Title: SAS Test Centre Assistant/lnvigilator
Department: Student Accessibility
Wage or Salary: $21.63/hr SAIV OR RAil I
Number of Hours to Work: varies from 5-1 0 hours per week
Start Date: September 4, 2026
Number of Positions available: 1-3
End Date of Employment: Sept. 4 – Dec. 31, 2026 with possibility for
further extension based upon need and budget

Key Duties:

  • Proctor tests and examinations in the SAS Test Centre according to established procedures
  • Ensure approved accommodations are provided while maintaining academic integrity and adherence to University policies
  • Assist with specialized testing accommodations, including reader, scribe, and approved assistive technology
  • Assist with test centre set-up and closing procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information
  • Attend required training and communicate regularly with the supervisor
  • Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required; and
  • Other relevant duties as assigned

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Strong observation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to respond appropriately to unforeseen circumstances
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and a high degree of reliability and punctuality
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and general computer applications
  • Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or educational settings is considered an asset
  • Successful completion of at least two years of post-secondary education
  • Brandon University students and graduates are encouraged to apply; however, applications from all qualified candidates will be considered
